Violet is the new trending colour in interiors

May 04, 2018 By Southpoint Tuggeranong

When Pantone named ‘Ultra Violet’ as the 2018 Colour of the Year, we were unsure how strongly it would influence the interiors space. For so long, blush pink has been the dominant trending colour, and more generally we’ve seen a shift away from bold colours towards more muted, pastel and natural tones. Well turns out violet is making a big splash in interiors and today we’re rounding up some of the best products and easiest ways you can adopt this hot colour in your home.

Bedroom

Nothing welcomes a change in season like a mini bedroom makeover. This autumn the new ‘Romance’ interior design trend is taking over – think oversized floral artwork and bedding, deep rich red and purple tones, and moody luxe vibes. You can go all out to embrace this trend or pick up some smaller elements as these pieces work in well with your existing décor.
