Dressing for the Festive Season

December 10, 2018 By Southpoint Tuggeranong

The weeks in the lead up to Christmas can be a busy time for all.

With work Christmas functions, family events and loads of catch up's with friends before the New Year arrives; it's time to find yourself the perfect outfit for every festive occasion.

Here's a run down of ideas on what you can wear this festive season.

The Office Christmas Party

There are generally two types of office Christmas party: a Christmas party during work hours, and one outside of work hours.

If your office Christmas party is during work hours, then you'll need to keep your outfit office appropriate. However, don't be afraid to dress it up just a little with a colourful summer dress and blazer combination.

Just ensure that you don't get too silly, and still stick to the office dress code.

If your office Christmas party is outside of work hours, this gives you the opportunity to be a little more creative with what you wear.

Keep the cleavage to a minimum, and remember that a higher neckline can always be flattering, especially when paired with a statement necklace! Let your hair down, and have some fun, however also consider that what you wear, still needs to be appropriate at a work related function.

BBQ with Friends

BBQ's are common practice at this time of year, especially as many use them as an opportunity to catch up with family and friends and reflect on the past year.

A BBQ is a great opportunity to wear something super fun and casual.

Think of skirt and shirt combo's, or even a jumpsuit.

And, what's better than a comfortable maxi skirt and tee combo?

By wearing a printed maxi skirt, and comfortable tee, not only will you feel relaxed, but you'll also still be wearing something appropriate for Christmas lunch too!

This season, why not opt for an off the shoulder number, or something with frill detailing?
