Kambah Pool
Smaller and quieter than Pine Island - Kambah Pool offers picnic tables, toilets and access to the scenic Red Rocks Gorge. Bring some snacks and cool off by the water on one of these hot Canberra days. Access via Kambah Pool Road.

Angle Crossing
This one is a bit of a drive (20 minutes if you're in Calwell) but the longer drive means less people. The waters are shallow which makes it perfect for kids and ball games. This does require a concrete crossing which can be closed due to high water levels. Phone Access Canberra to make sure it's open before you leave (13 22 81). Access off Smiths Road via Naas Road near Tharwa.
Gibraltar Falls
The most scenic of swimming spots, snap the perfect photo and then head further upstream to find your own spot along Gibraltar Creek. Roughly 30 minutes from Tuggeranong with access along Corin Road.

Tharwa Bridge
Have a dip while enjoying views of the Tharwa Bridge. Wander upstream for a fish or enjoy a barbecue and dip in the water. Access on Tharwa Drive.
Point Hut Crossing
Super close for residents of Gordon and Condor, this spot is perfect for a weekend barbecue. Bring the whole family down for fishing, food and a splash in the water. Dogs are allowed at this spot on a leash.
