April 28, 2022 By Southpoint Tuggeranong

Mothers Day Sunday, March 8 2022

Mother’s Day celebrates motherhood and is a day to make an extra-special effort to show you appreciate mothers’ roles in our lives. Often this day is extended to generations of mothers—grandmothers, great-grandmothers, stepmothers—as well as to mother figures. so we've come up with some ideas on ways you can show her how much she means to you.

Decorate her Door or Give her Flowers
If you live nearby, you can have fun decorating you her front door with streamers, special signs, a wreath, and flowers! If you have kids, get them involved! Mum or grandma will love the surprise.

Flowers and plants are always a delight. If you’re local, deliver plants to her porch in person. If you’re not local, there’s always delivery in most places (but order well enough ahead!). Image: Gormans Florist Tuggeranong - Click this link for more Gormans Florist Flowers

Offer to do her Garden
If you’re mum loves her garden you could help her by doing some mowing, weeding or just plant some of her favourite plants. Roses or geraniums are always a great ideas - click this link for other plant ideasPlant ideas Image: Big W

Make a Brunch Date
Take her out to her favourite café or Restaurant for a beautiful Breakfast, brunch or lunch meal. If she doesn't have a favourite then create your own brunch at home, what about French Crepes with berries, a frittata or chocolate waffles. Make a Video, a music playlist, or a piece of art
Record a video from you involve the kids. They can each say “Happy Mother’s Day” and why they appreciate her. If your good at singing make her a tape or a music playlist, gather calming songs for bedtime, such as the sound of the sea.
(Note: You can always use iMovie to splice videos together on your phone)
Another great option is for you to gather her very favorite songs from the era that she loves most. (If she has an iPhone, create a special iTunes playlist that will get emailed to her.)

An Art Piece it is... Paint the outside of a terra-cotta flower pot and fill it with garden seeds and a card, make a beautiful photo frame with your family photo inside or create a scrapbook.
